Benefits of Seek+

Uplifts Mood

Exposure to Phytoncides produced by trees and plants has been found to significantly reduce stress and improve mood in humans, as measured by decreases in levels of the stress hormone cortisol and increases in natural killer cell activity.

Increases Brain Function

Exposure to Phytoncides increases blood flow to the prefrontal cortex, an area of the brain linked to higher cognitive functions such as decision-making and problem-solving.

Enhances Focus

Exposure to volatile organic compounds has been found to significantly improve focus and attention in humans, as measured by increased performance on a visual search task and reduced errors on a proofreading task.

Boosts Immune System

Phytoncides have antibacterial and antifungal qualities which help plants fight disease. When people breathe in these compounds, our bodies respond by increasing the number and activity of a type of white blood cell called natural killer cells or NK.

What is a Functional Fragrance?

Phytoncides (or Volatile Organic Compounds) are found naturally-occuring in the world’s forests, and are used as our active enhancement in Seek+.

Phytoncides have been extensively studied, and contain scientifically-proven properties that promote brain function, improve cognitive performance, decrease mental fatigue and enhance mood, among many other benefits.

Seek+ integrates the Phytoncide β-Caryophyllene, bottling the compound at it’s source and integrating into a daily fragrance to enhance your daily experience.

Olfactory Science: Key Facts

WHAT ARE Phytoncides?

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), or Phytoncides, have been scientifically proven to contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Clinical STUDIES

A systematic review of 22 clinical studies analysing the effects of airborne compounds discovered that it can significantly positively influence cortisol levels in the short term to reduce stress.

The pharmacological activity of particular VOCs absorbed through inhalation is linked to promoting brain function by decreasing mental fatigue, inducing relaxation and improving cognition and mood.

Forest Bathing: Shinrin-Yoku

Seek+ is engineered as a solution to our modern sense deprivation. The fragrance encapsulates the revitalising feeling of spending time in nature: Forest Bathing.

Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, starting as a Japanese practice, is defined as taking in the atmosphere of the forest.

Forest Bathing has countless positive health benefits, offering a biochemical antidote to our stressful, every-day lives.

Scientific research shows that visiting a forest has substantial, quantifiable health benefits, both physiological and psychological.

Ethical & Sustainable Assurance.

Every ingredient in has been rigorously researched, and carefully selected to be sourced with sustainability in mind.

We rigoursouly test and design our product and are approved to the highest of standards. We are proudly in compliance with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).
